heard that when it rips in its on it is worse and can always tear again

later is this true? Also, l have had 2 bowel movents in the 2 weeks and
they were both so painful that l was in tears. l am taking stool softners.
It feels like it is tearing more when l do try. Also, is the scaring
forever? l have felt down there and it feels differant and weird now like
a rope stitched to my skin or something, will it always be like that now
there?

Thanks so much. l know this is a lot of info but l dont
know who else to ask but moms who have went through this. Thank you

will always be a scar and scar tissue present, but this should not impact

then I tore up the side also. And again I don't have a scar. But that is me
I heal well & have minimal scaring.
If you are still having that much pain, go to a drug store & get
Dermoplast pain relieving spray. I was given that in the hospital with my
3rd. It works great. And take colace stool softener, 3 times a day for a
couple days this is what they give in the hospital after delivery, you
wont have the b.m. problems or pain either.

You can also use those hemorrhoid cooling pads down there to reduce the

sitz bath (not sure if that is the right spelling or not lol). I didn't
get one but i did use the spray, the tucks pads, ice packs & warm water to
keep the urine off. When i got constipated i made sure to keep taking the
stole softners & yes it felt like i was going to rip open with bowl
movements. By around 4 wks i was feeling a lot better. By 6 wks I felt
even better. It took until about 12 wks for me to really feel good but I
wasn't really in a whole lot of pain just a little uncomfortable with
bowel movements still until that point. The stitches will heal & they
might start itching (the great thing about Tucks medicated pads the itch
isn't so bad with them). The stitches do feel weird. I felt like I had
wires down there which was really really weird feeling lol but you don't
know it once it heals & everything.

It didn't tear again, it did heal, after 4 weeks it felt SOO much better.
It is been 8 months now. The area has healed very well. There is a little
bit of scar tissue, but nothing major. It is definitely not as bad as I
thought it would be. And there isn't any soreness now at all. I waited
until I was 9 weeks postpartum before I had sex again, just because the
idea itself was scary. It took a good month after getting active again
for me to relax & not think about it, but now it is like it never
happened.
